Meet Gaige Clark

Gaige Clark is the founder of: August Anchor Advisors; Spruce New York & Los Angeles; & The Women's Union of Provincetown (WUP). She is also known as the woodworking  artist SpoonBear and the children's advocate The Bearkeeper.

Gaige has been involved in politics all of her life. Born into a Massachusetts family that has been of service to the state and country since 1646, she was raised to speak up for those that cannot speak up for themselves in her 3rd great grandfathers homestead in Hudson Massachusetts. 

Her main areas of service have consistently centered around the rights of children, and working families followed by her ongoing support of the peace movement.

Gaige began her activism at age five in 1972 where young girls in Massachusetts were not allowed to wear pants in Kindergarten. Gaige would wear pants on many occasions and each time she would spend hours in front of the class with her head facing the wall for punishment.

1974 at seven years old, Cox Street Elementary school did not allow girls ages six to eleven to play sports. Only boys could play sports. Gaige fought and won a girls' right to play sports along with the boys. Most times Gaige would be the only girl participating on all boys teams.

1984 when Reagan began building the arms race, Gaige helped bring S.T.O.P. Student/Teacher Organization to Prevent Nuclear War to her high school Nashoba Regional High in Bolton Mass and was voted President her senior year. During that time, she was also voted Captain of her Soccer and Softball teams due to her diplomacy, leadership skills, and athletic abilities.

1991 Gaige was awarded a Francis Perkins scholarship to Mount Holyoke College where she studied Psychology under Dr. Ellie Reece and was active in Theater, Psychology Club, and The Mount Holyoke News. During this time, Gaige refined her skills and knowledge of psychology, media and entertainment's effect on public opinion, group structures, and social engineering. She learned a three prong approach to capturing the hearts and minds of Americans in the realms of government, legislation, branding, and image control.

1993 Gaige moved to New York City the same day she graduated from Mount Holyoke and worked in the field of Public Relations and Publishing for six years.

1998 Gaige founded Spruce one of New York City, and Los Angeles’ most highly acclaimed and awarded flower boutiques. Since opening Spruce at 75 Greenwich Avenue, NYC, Clark’s designs have appeared in movies, TV shows, music videos, and commercials. Gaige has been featured in over thirty national and international publications. Her designs and integrity attracted an exclusive list of celebrities, socialites, politicians, and royalty from around the globe. Clark’s visionary brand of floral design, coined “New England Garden,” arose from her family settling in Sudbury Massachusetts in 1646. Her 4th Great Grandmother, Marion Leary, founded the Hudson Gladiola Flower Farm in the 1900's. Clark opened her second location in Chelsea at 222 8th avenue, a third store in 2013 on Sunset Blvd & Fountain in Los Angeles, and mobile flower bus from a converted old Ford school bus. 70% of Massachusetts voted for Audits. There is an abuse of power when transparency is not practiced in government. I hear every day from my Massachusetts residents "I did not leave the Democrat party, the Democrat party left me" I will not leave the party.  I am in it to win it and bring common sense back to Massachusetts and the Dems.

We have a NEW DEMOCRATIC PARTY that has the cornerstone of it's original ideals: Unions. Working families. Honest Education. Fair wages, healthcare costs, and transparent government. We need to unify and unite across the aisle to right the ship of this state.We need to keep the pressure up, and support Auditor  DiZoglio any way we can to help change laws, write policy, and teach more people how to get involved and understand how the powers that should not be have led us to this point of absolute unchecked abuse of power.

I am running for congress District 3, out of my hometown, Hudson MA, and will be in Washington DC next in meetings. I am trying specifically to talk to our federal, senators Senator Edward J. Markey and U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, still trying to get an appointment. Our federal government needs to stop spending our Social Security funds on fraud and bring these funds back to the family where it belongs.

2000 Gaige began working with Hugo Cory, an advisor to Al Gore who was mentoring her in the fields of civic duty, political ideology, and strategy, using self mastery techniques to ground, listen, observe, and serve. 

2001 Gaige personally watched the twin towers fall in New York City standing in front of her flower shop 2.2 miles away from the attack. At this time she began analyzing and researching America's systems regarding geopolitical policies, history of The American Revolution, and national political policy and law.

2004 she was brought to Egypt to further her education on geopolitical events, social engineering, politics, The American Revolution, political systems, and America's state and federal funding policies.

2008 after the stock market crashed she moved to her compound in Woodstock NY where she grew flowers and food, made soap, and got involved in local politics.

2012 Gaige moved to Los Angeles and opened up her third flower shop on Sunset Boulevard, that turned out to be an incredible success where the company still exists to this day. 

2018 Gaige founded Spoon Bear when she began teaching herself woodcarving, working with the fallen Purple Lilac trees she had pruned in her yard. Falling in love with the wood and the spoons, she founded Spoon Bear where she began selling at local farmers markets in Woodstock NY, Provincetown, & Hudson MA. The spoons took off and every once in a while you can catch Gaige doing live carvings outside of Town Hall in Provincetown MA, where she has been living part time on her boat since 2020.

2024 Gaige founded August Anchor where she combined her 45 years of entrepreneurial experience, civic duty, historical and geopolitical analysis and created an organization to advise politicians, legislators, and personalities. August is a family name derived from the Latin word "augere," which means "to increase."  Anchor means stability and security. August Anchor literally means to increase stability. It is Gaige's belief that our country has lost its way. She believes America needs to anchor herself, stabilize, and begin to meet the needs of every day working Americans instead of lining the pockets of the billionaires, twenty of whom live in Massachusetts. 

Gaige believes the country needs to focus on the fundamental building blocks our our society: The United States Constitution, Amendments and The Bill of Rights, at this strengthens the resolve of a pathway forward: freedom of speech, the right to be secure in our person, property and possessions, access to voting, fair elections, a fair representation of the democratic process, access to housing, healthcare, & education. Sensible infrastructure,  a peaceful diplomatic foreign policy.

She believes in re-enacting The Glass-Stiegall Act, Smith-Mundt Act, overturning Citizens United, and re-routing the funding of ASFA back to families that will help bring back and strengthen the middle class. These policies that have demoralized most Americans and devastated our youth need to change. 

Gaige understands The American Dream appears to no longer be possible for most Americans. America has always fallen short for marginalized Americans and now America needs ALL THE PEOPLE, WE THE PEOPLE, to unify and work together in order to move forward to a brighter future America needs to let The People lead the way, and there is great hope

She fights to end government corruption and overreach that is wrongfully using our social security funds to line the pockets of the corrupt instead of the working families.

Gaige is pro Union, pro working families, pro education reform. She believes in people first, billionaires second.

Gaige is pro transparency, and believes government overreach has gone too far.

She is leading the way in bringing manufacturing back to Massachusetts, and America.
